General Reminders

• If you are unsure about HOW to use a tool - please ask, read the manual, check for our tip sheets, watch a video or all of the above.
• Please put tools back where they belong, make sure they are clean, dry and usable.
• Report broken and missing tools and parts - Inform a steward or instructor and leave a note with any broken tool that includes your name, date, and problem.
• Our tool usage requires different procedures. Some CNC tools use specialized software (like the Silhouettes), while others, both CNC and non-CNC, require sign-offs for safety and training. Many of our tools are considered GREEN, some are YELLOW and others RED. So feel free to explore, but respect the sign-off and color coded age restrictions on our tools.
