Best Practice: Instructors must login and view their class using the app to write down their class attendees before class starts. Write down on the attendance sheet (yours or ours), the student's exact name and their email address (optional).
If you do not obtain this information BEFORE the class start time, then you will have to use one of several alternative ways of obtaining the class roster.
Life is about choices so here are some alternative methods to obtaining class attendance if one does not obtain them prior to the start of the class from the provided NL Automationevents utility.
<aside> 💡 Events Coordinator Method - Flag down the nearest friendly events coordinator and ask them nicely to please print a class roster. They will all help, but your shop's events coordinator should really be the best.

<aside> 💡 Ask the Helpdesk - email your friendly helpdeskers at [email protected] and ask them nicely to please print a class roster

<aside> 💡 Attendance Sheet Method - Ask the students to please sign in on an attendance sheet and keep the attendance sheet available until you fill out the Instructor Incentive Form. This method does not give you the names of the no-shows. Also, students may use alternative names or have awful, illegible writing. (Hint: you don't need the names of any shows, just the number of no-shows. Add the word NO SHOW and mark them with the No Show Note)

<aside> 💡 The Fun and Profit (FnP) Method - Viewing past events for fun and profit Click here for step-by-step directions. (Restricted to those with a Nova Labs Account). Instructors may find that it is useful to look up past events in NL Automation, for example, check the spelling of names. It's an excellent bad handwriting mitigation. You will need Google Chrome and an active portal account.
