The soldering bench is the place to solder, remove and rework components. Your choice of leaded or leadfree solder is provided, as well as water-washable flux and solder wick.

For most hobby work including through hole components, use the Hakko FX-951 with the large handle (right side of the 951).

For small SMD soldering, such as 0805-size or below, swap the FX-951 to use the small FM-2032 micro handle (left of the 951). You will also need to swap the cable at the back of the holder, which the station uses to idle the iron temperature when the iron is in the holder.

The 878AD hotair station is another excellent option for SMD work.

For large jobs such as soldering large-gauge wire, use the black soldering station on the right side of the bench.
