The purpose of the Member Services subcommittee is to oversee the operation and policies related to management of Nova Labs Key and Associate Members.
The subcommittee will have at minimum three officers: a Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary. If necessary, multiple officer positions may be held by one person. The committee may have as many additional members or officer positions as they choose.
The Member Services subcommittee interfaces with members on all matters related to billing and payments.
The Member Services subcommittee helps to recruit Nova Labs volunteers and interns, and connect them to the appropriate role or committee.
The Member Services subcommittee coordinates the volunteers who serve in member services roles (e.g., front desk, help desk).
The Member Services subcommittee maintains the help desk and routes or responds to all requests and inquiries within a reasonable time.
The Member Services subcommittee maintains and moderates member communications channels (e.g., wiki, Notion, slack, listservs).
The Member Services subcommittee facilitates member social initiatives (e.g., mentorship) and advises on member meetings, open houses, and social events (e.g., maker market).
The Member Services subcommittee will originate policy changes related to member recruitment, interaction, and retention as appropriate, including conduct policies for in-person and online interaction.
The Member Services subcommittee will provide budget proposals for activities related to member management. The subcommittee may divide the budget proposals as necessary. The budget proposals will be submitted on a periodic basis as set forth by the Finance Committee.
