Process Requirements

Follow this Process Carefully

Do the STEPS below in ORDER. There are TECHNICAL IT-based reasons that help make onboarding in the IT systems happen more smoothly. Please follow all 4 Steps IN THE ORDER GIVEN!!

  1. FIRST, complete a minimum of 5 hours of volunteer service.

    <aside> 💡 The SPONSOR has access to Slack. Bring your Family member in as a guest for volunteer service. The sponsor has the role of helping their family member though this step.

  2. SECOND. AFTER completing STEP 1, establish a Member Account for the Family Member

    1. If the family member is currently a subscribed, paying member, proceed to Step 4.
    2. If the family member is not already a member, apply for a member account and pay the application fee.
    3. Select “Associate” on the application and do not establish a recurring payment - CLICK HERE
    4. Add the Key Member sponsor name to the “Sponsor” field as in this example: “Sponsor: Family Member of John Smith”
  3. THIRD. AFTER completing STEP 1 and STEP 2, do the following.

    1. Register for GO class. Instructions for how to register for GO class are emailed after your member account is approved.
    2. Attend GO class and send us your key fob as instructed.
  4. **FORTH. AFTER completing Steps 1, 2, and 3, submit the Key Member Nomination Form**. You, the sponsoring Key Member, must submit the form.

FAQs

Question: How does the family member get their 5 hours? Answer: Their sponsor is a Key member who can bring them in as a guest. That way they are not ringing the doorbell or here by themselves.

Question: How does a family member get into Slack to see the volunteer_here page?  Answer: Their sponsor has access and should guide them

Question: How does a family member register for GO? Answer: After completing Step 1 and 2, they will be able to register. There are TECHNICAL IT reasons why the GO class is done AFTER Steps 1 and 2.
