Key and Innovation Center members are entitled to one additional KEY membership. This membership does not confer access to IC tools.

Who is eligible?

• a partner, spouse, or other legally related relative (e.g., son, daughter) living in the same house for the duration of the membership. We reserve the right to ask for verification.
• a potential member must be over the age of 18 (door access). We reserve the right to ask for verification.

Process Summary

• DO THIS 1st → 5 hours of volunteer service completed (sponsoring member must escort)
• DO THIS 2nd → Attend GO sign-off (sponsoring member escorts to any GO class, no sign-up required, Even if class is full)
• DO THIS same day as GO: →Nomination Form

Follow this Process Carefully

Do the STEPS below in ORDER. There are TECHNICAL IT-based reasons that help make onboarding in the IT systems happen more smoothly. Please follow all four Steps IN THE ORDER GIVEN!!

1. FIRST, complete a minimum of 5 hours of volunteer service.

   <aside> 💡 The SPONSOR has access to Slack. Bring your Family member in as a guest for volunteer service. The sponsor has the role of helping their family member though this step.

2. SECOND. AFTER completing STEP 1, do the following.

   1. Obtain GO sign-off
   2. Sign-up NOT required. The sponsoring member escorts to any GO class. Even if GO class is full.
   3. Sign-in and ensure the GO instructor know you are a walk-in for Family membership so they report your attendance

3. **THIRD. AFTER completing Steps 1 and 2, submit the Key Member Nomination Form**.

   1. On the same day as GO class preferably, no sooner, no later. You, the sponsoring Key Member, must submit the form.
   2. Monitor your email, you and your family member will both receive a reply to the nomination form with instructions on how to create a member account. There is a $25 application fee for all new members.

Question: How does the family member get their 5 hours? Answer: Their sponsor is a Key member who can bring them in as a guest. That way they are not ringing the doorbell or here by themselves.

Question: How does a family member get into Slack to see the volunteer_here page?  Answer: Their sponsor has access and must guide them on ways to volunteer.

Question: How does a family member register for GO? Answer: sponsoring member escorts to any GO class, no sign-up required.
