Post a request on #marketing in Slack. Give the event link from the member portal
When we have classes that have prerequisites, posting to FB may not be worth the effort. Yes, it is ‘interesting’ and maybe outsiders will see it and say “hey, I’d like to take this in the future, I better go get that blacksmithing 101 sign off (and GO!)“, but I think we have better ways of talking to the people that -could- take this class. And for getting people interested in blacksmithing and learning about NL in general, that is where blog posts and write-ups from people who have taken the class comes in.
Ask your students if they would mind writing a short blog and help them with pictures and content.
If we want to advertise something, we need to try finding relatively easy and low barrier classes for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Make gift cards. Schedule several in the week or two after the respective holiday (so we aren’t asking people to be away from the family on those days).
